The smallest of the Kalavasos mines, Lantaria operated between 1961 and 1964, producing 65,000 tons of copper-bearing ore.
Located 250 meters from the Mavri Sykia mine. Little mining activity must have taken place in this mine during ancient times. Its deposit had a volume of 500,000 tones with an average content of 0.5% copper and 30% in sulphur. Its modern mining activities started in 1961 and ended in 1964. 65,000 tones of ore were dug out of the mine.
Mavridia was the first mine in the Kalavasos area where modern mining began in 1937.
Historically, this area also saw intensive mining during ancient times, as proven by the large accumulations of rust found in the region.
Petra Mine, operational from 1953 to 1966, had one of the largest deposits in the region, with 290,000 tons extracted during its operation.
